Fireworks! Lewisboro and Somers kick off the Independence Day fireworks displays in northern Westchester on Sat, 6/28.Fireworks are set from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Onatru Farm Park, 99 Elmwood Road in South Salem.. Somers offers a full day of events beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Reis Park, 82 Primrose St, Somers. The fireworks show, sponsored by PepsiCo, begins at 9:30 p.m.
Fireworks! Kensico Fireworks & Music Fest: Pre-concert entertainment begins at 6 p.m. The Bensen-Scott Big Band performs at 8 p.m. A fireworks display in front of the dam follows at 9:15 p.m. Admission and parking are free. Sybarite5: A dynamic string quintet who have achieved rock star status for the way they “attack” classical and contemporary music from Mozart to Radiohead. They are the first quintet to ever win the Concert Artists Guild International Competition. Caramoor. Thurs, 7/3: 6pm.
Fireworks! Caramoor’s Pops, Patriots & Fireworks: A WTD Fave Rave for most civilized way to celebrate the 4th. Broadway star Ryan Silverman (Wicked, Chicago, Phantom) joins Conductor Curt Ebersole and the Westchester Symphonic Winds in a program that ranges from John Phillip Sousa’s The Stars & Stripes Forever and Jule Styne’s Overture from Funny Girl to Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. Plus vocal selections from the Great White Way and Ryan Silverman. Picnic on the lawn before the show – return to your soccer chairs and coolers (right where you left them) for fireworks after the concert. It’s a beautiful thing. Fri, 7/4: 8pm. For the kids: Pirates of the Hudson at Philipsburg Manor: Flung into the future by a bumbling sea witch, a crew of misfit pirates has one chance of returning home: performing the greatest pirate epic ever seen on stage! But when their script is torn asunder, these pirates-turned-actors are forced to improvise from audience suggestions! The performance is at Tarrytown Music Hall. Gene DiNapoli’s Elvis Extravanganza: Six tribute artists, Tally, Nick Mischissin, Patrick Perrone, Steve Mitchell, Dan Barella & Gene DiNapoli recreate the sound and image of “The King of Rock n Roll” from his beginnings in gold and lame to his infamous American Eagle jumpsuit. Fun, Fun, Fun: The Beach Boys, Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals and The Lovin’ Spoonful: It’s the 50th anniversary of The Beach Boys’ hit ”Fun, Fun, Fun” and they will be celebrating it at the Jones Beach Theatre with original band members Mike Love, Al Jardine and Bruce Johnson.
