The Harlem Globetrotters, Westchester County Center: Without question the greatest franchise in sports history, the Harlem Globetrotters have played tens of thousands of games since coming together under the direction of Abe Saperstein in 1929 suffering only rare defeats. In fact, according to Harlem Globetrotter lore they won 8,829 games in a row over a period of 24 years from 1971 when they lost to the New Jersey Reds 100-99 in overtime to 1995 when they lost to Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s All Star Team in Vienna, Austria.
