Dinotopia: The Fantastical Art of James Gurney: This fascinating exhibit features 59 original oil paintings from the New York Times best-selling Dinotopia book series by author and artist James Gurney. Dinotopia, the setting of the books, is a fictional island utopia inhabited by humans and dinosaurs who have created a complex, interdependent society. Humpback Whales at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk: The Maritime Aquarium joins in the national release of the new IMAX movie Humpback Whales.

Compagnie Käfig: Artistic Director Mourad Merzouki’s dance troupe from Rio de Janeiro blends hip-hop, bossa nova, samba, and capoeira with electronic music in two new works of family entertainment that showcase the dancers’ virtuosity and
innovative use of props. Correria plunges its dancers into a rat race world where they need extra appendages to keep up. Marine Life Cruises at The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk: The Norwalk Aquarium’s new 63 foot research vessel is North America’s first to run on hybrid-electric power. The vessel runs silently on electric power for their 2½-hour “study cruises” on the Long Island Sound. Built in Mamaroneck, the vessel doubles the aquarium’s cruise capacity and cuts diesel consumption by 75%. Lime Rock Park Memorial Day Season Opener: Stock car racing at its best featuring the Trans Am Series and the Royals Car Show! There’s even a Crafts Fair for adults whose Ripcord days have passed them by. Boscobel, Snapping Turtle Walk: Bring your camera to Boscobel’s Belvedere, overlooking the Hudson River and Highlands, for an up-close snapping turtle presentation. These prehistoric creatures climb up the banks from Constitution Marsh to Boscobel every spring to lay their eggs. After the presentation guests can search the grounds to look for egg-laying females.
