Armonk & Chappaqua Boys are National Soccer Champs
Two Armonk boys and two Chappaqua boys are national champs. David Noel and Jack Beer of Armonk and Jack Cohen and Greg Ginsberg of Chappaqua were crowned national champions when their New York Soccer Club U16 team beat LA Premier 2-0 in the National Premiere League’s (NPL) Soccer National Championship Game on July 13 at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana.
The team, that fielded a roster of area all stars from New York City and Westchester County, went undefeated in the five game national championship series yielding only 1 goal and defeating teams from Michigan, Virginia, Illinois, Suffolk County, NY and California along the way.
The New York Soccer Club is headquartered in Chappaqua. They fielded ten boys and eight girls soccer teams this year and offer soccer programs year round from U7 Developmental Programs to their USSF Development Academy that partners with the US Soccer Federation and top youth clubs around the country to develop and identify prospects for the next generation of National Team players. They also host six one-week soccer camps at the Hackley School in Tarrytown for players U5-15 and a U16-20 College Prep camp.
Congrats David, Armonk Jack, Chappaqua Jack and Greg. What’s next?
