Raised in the townships of South Africa, Nomfusi’s music channels the spirit of her upbringing, blending deeply personal storytelling with the infectious rhythms of mbaqanga and Afrobeat.
She portrayed young Miriam Makeba in the film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, and her rise has been chronicled by Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, and The Mail & Guardian.
