A cutting satire of the musician biopic, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story follows fictional rocker Dewey Cox (John C. Reilly) on his road to stardom. As Dewey perseveres through childhood tragedy, changing musical styles, an addiction to nearly every drug known, and bouts of uncontrollable rage, he finds his voice and writes the music that transformed a dimwitted country boy into the greatest rock star who never lived.
