Performing Arts Center Purchase: CMS of Lincoln Center: Violin Celebration

Here the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center celebrates the 16th century invention of the violin that inspired the works of J. S. Bach, violin virtuosi such as Tartini; and Mozart, and Beethoven, ech of whom paved the way to the future with new heights of expression for the instrument.

Tartini | Sonata in G minor for Violin and Continuo, “Devil’s Trill” (before 1756)
Mozart | Sonata in B-flat major for Violin and Piano, K. 454 (1784)
