Worth the Trip: Best Menus HVRW

Bistro de Ville for Duck Lovers
Bistro de Ville: (Scarsdale) (Lunch: Mon—Fri & Dinner: Sun—Thurs) Forbes called it the fine dining restaurant Scarsdale always lacked. Westchester Magazine called it “best for duck lovers.” We just liked it’s HVRW menu that features something called a Monkfish Schnitzel to go along with more traditional French classics such as Celeri Root Soup, Muschrrom Leek & Gruyere Tart, Beef Bourguignon, and Grilled Shrimp Niçoise, Mousse Au Chocolat, and Apple and Honey Financier.

Garrison’s Bird & Bottle Inn
Bird & Bottle Inn: (Garrison) (Lunch: Sat & Dinner: Sun, Wed, Thurs) This is the first time this American restaurant & inn in a restored tavern on historic Old Albany Post Road in the Hudson Highlands has made our Best HVRW list. I’m not sure they were serving Shishito Peppers (V) Butter Bean Hummus / Salsa Verde / Grilled Bread; Scallops (GF) Beluga Lentils, Bacon, Snap Peas, Apple & Celery Root Slaw, Crispy Shallots; Steak Frites (CBGF) Guajillo Marinated Grass Fed Flank, Sidewinder Fries,Malt Vinegar Aioli; and Pistachio Creme Brulee (V, CBGF) Kataifi Crumble, Pistachio, Honey when the inn was establshed in 1761 but they’re serving it for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week Autum 2025.

Chef Talde of Goosefeather
Goosefeather: (Tarrytown) (Brunch: Sat—Sun & Dinner: Sun—Thurs) James Beard nominated Chef Dale has made Cantonese food hip again in this trendy Asian in the hilltop King Mansion at the Tarrytown House Estate. And its quickly become our favorite spot to eat in Westchester. Thanks to dishes like Shrimp Shumai, Cherry Bacon Jam, Red Eye Soy; Smashed Crispy Fingerling Potatoes; Smoked Salmon Fried Rice, Crème Fraîche, 8-Treasure Spice GF, and Wild Mushroom Rice Noodle, Tamarind Black Bean, Hazelnut. All of which are on the HVRW menu.
