The Palace Stamford Reopens with a Full Slate of Events
The Palace Stamford Reopens
Stamford’s historic 1580 seat Palace Theater, built in 1927, reopens on July 24 with three performances of Shen Yun, the classical Chinese Dance spectacular that features elaborate costumes, interactive backdrops and original orchestral music. The performances are just the first of a full run of events announced for summer and fall that features sixteen acts and twenty shows including music, theatre, comedy, and children’s entertainment. Which includes the long awaited Steve Martin and Martin Short show The Funniest Show in Town at The Moment in August.
While their summer offerings are limited their schedule ramps up in the fall with a full slate of tribute shows such as Neil Berg’s 50 Years of Rock-N-Roll, 1964: The Beatles tribute show, Rumors, Stayin’ Alive and ARRIVAL from Sweden – the world famous ABBA tribute. Original music artists on the calendar feature the Eli Young Band, Indigo Girls and Air Supply. For theatre and comedy fans there is An Evening With C.S. Lewis, The Golden Girls Show, Lewis Black and Anthony Rodia. Plus we see the first signs of post-pandemic holiday programming with Halloween Spectacular and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer: The Musical.
We expect to see new shows filling up their calendar in the days and weeks ahead and we will update our Events Calendar with them – though not necessarily in this space.
