Maison Privé is a full service caterer for large and small events whose distinctive seasonal menus support local farms that practice sustainable, organic, and regenerative techniques. Its husband and wife team, Jennifer and James Vellano, have trained with some of the most famous chefs at Manhattan’s finest restaurants.
Jennifer’s resume includes Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Gramercy Tavern, and Per Se where she honed her skills under the guidance of Thomas Keller and Joseph Benno. James began his career with famed pastry chef Johnny Iuzzini at Restaurant Daniel before serving as Chef de Partie at Per Se and Chef de Cuisine at Bouchon Bakery.
Their recent featured menus include Tuna Tataki with tempura Maitake mushrooms, hazelnut oil and chives; Clawhammer Farm Butter Poached Chicken with parsnip puree, chard and wood roasted carrots; and Butternut Squash Donuts.
